Busy Weekend Guide
Navigate the high-energy weekends of Oxford with curated guest tips. From restaurant reservations at the Square to avoiding game-day traffic, this guide ensures your stay remains seamless, sophisticated, and full of southern charm.
Tips for Busy Weekends
Transportation
You can walk from the condo if you’d like, but if you plan to use Uber, we recommend scheduling your ride in advance or calling one early in the morning—especially if you don’t have a parking pass and are heading to The Grove. Ubers can get very busy and more expensive during peak times, particularly on game days.
Eating out
If you don’t already have reservations, expect a bit of a wait—especially on game days. If you’re able to snag a reservation, we highly recommend it. If not, consider trying restaurants just outside of the Square, or plan to arrive before the game ends to beat the crowds.
The Grove
If you’re attending an Ole Miss football game or tailgating in The Grove, you must put any alcohol you bring into a cup — bottles and open containers aren’t allowed and this rule is strictly enforced. This helps everyone stay in compliance with university and local alcohol regulations so you can enjoy game day responsibly.
